The mixed media painting uses layers to hide, distract, and eventually, draw attention to the central window on the corner of the piece. The build up of ceramic shards shows a shattered wall with a singular window to the under painting. The thread both connects and creates another layer, as the upper layers of the piece attempt to be camouflage for what is underneath.
