You're a Sculptor Too?

(2 of 3 of Series: Women in the Workplace)

The second in a series of three, the transitional pillar is the most aesthetically pleasing as it bridges the gap between the first and second pillar and using femininity as the catalyst. The title is more accepting as the viewer can see through the sheer fabric and understand the developments on the inside of the piece, as the harsher metals and delicate textiles mix together to prove my own identity as a 3D female artist.

Women in the Workplace Series

A series of three structures that use imagery of roses as femininity within the sculptures. To reclaim the industrial columns created from traditional methods of making sculpture. Titled with varying degrees of personally asked sexist questions as the titles, the series shows my own growth to prove myself as a female 3D artist without compromising any stereotypical feminine qualities.
