Modesty to Humility
The plaster figure hides her naked body in shame of who she is, while the back of the figure shows the true, realistic face and hands emerging from the shell of the outer figure. The figure was cast from my own body, with realistic casts from Alginate, to show personal growth in accepting who I am against social norms that made the artificial outer shell.
